Born in Candelária (RS), the president of SindiTabaco graduated in Agronomic Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM/RS). His professional trajectory started at Emater, in 1975. With more than 40 years of experience in the segment of tobacco, he worked for Fumossul Ltda., in Venâncio Aires and, in 1980, he joined Meridional de Tabacos, where he served as agronomic engineer, Production Manager and, from 2000 onward, as Production Director. The merger of Meridional de Tabacos and Dimon gave rise to Alliance One, where he served as Production Superintendent, in 2005. During this period, he traveled to several tobacco producing countries. For more than a decade, he occupied the position as Vice-President of Production at Sindifumo, now known as SindiTabaco, where he has been serving as president since 2006. Since 2008 he has been a member of the FIERGS – Rio Grande do Sul Industry Federation. In 2015, he equally took over the presidency of the Growing-Up Right Institute.
Vice-President of Secretariat
Born in Blumenau (SC), married, two children, he graduated in Business Administration and Economy, with specialization in Administration, and started his career with Souza Cruz, in 1980. He has an experience of 30 years in tobacco segment and lots of achievements, including his position as Manager of Institutional and Commercial Affairs. From 2012 to 2015 he will again occupy the position of Secretariat Vice-President at SindiTabaco, as legal substitute of the president of the entity.

Vice-President for Finance
Born in São Lourenco do Sul, with a degree in Accounting Sciences from the Catholic University of Pelotas (RS) and a MBA in Financial Management and a degree in Controllership (FGV/RS), he started his career in the financial department at the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu auditing company, where he had contact with the sector of tobacco. He worked for Tribac Tabacos do Brasil Ltda. and, currently, occupies the position as Controllership Manager at JTI Processadora de Tabacos (subsidiary of JTI S.A.).
Vice-President of Human Resources
Born in Santa Cruz do Sul, married, two children, with a degree in Economy and Accountancy, he started his career in the tobacco sector at Tabacos Brasileiros, now known as Universal Leaf Tabacos Ltda. During the 30 years in the tobacco sector he worked in the departments of Supply, Logistics, Human resources, and now he serves as administrative director. He is also a member of CONCEX, at Fiergs, and of SESI, in Santa Cruz do Sul.
Flávio Lucas Goettert
Vice-President of Fiscal Affairs
Born in Santa Cruz do Sul, marrried, two daughters, with a degree in Accounting Sciences from UNISC, a post-graduation degree in Controllership (UNISC) and a Professional Business Administration Master’s Degree (UNISC – University of Santa Cruz do Sul). His tobacco career started at Meridional de Tabacos Ltda., in 1992. Now he serves as Tax Manager at Alliance One Brasil Exportadora de Tabacos Ltda. From 2005 to 2007 he also served as Fiscal Taxation Committee Coordinator with the companies of the sector.
Vice-President of Tobacco Production and Quality
Born in Uraí (PR), married, four children, graduated in Business Administration, with specialization in Entrepreneurial Administration (UFRGS), Agribusiness Administration (UFLA – MG) and Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Unisc). He started his career at Souza Cruz, in 1977. He served in such departments as projects management, regional agricultural production management, territorial management in agricultural production and now serves as sustainability manager in agricultural production. Besides the 35 years devoted to tobacco, Claudimir also served as bank clerk, shopkeeper and university professor.
Vice-president for Environmental Administration and Social Responsibility
Born in Santa Cruz do Sul (RS), with an Engineering Degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Santa Maria. He started his career in 1999, at FW Rickard Seeds Inc, in the State of Kentucky (EUA), occupying a position related to research and the production of tobacco seed. From 2001 to 2008, he worked in the area of Research and Development at CTA-Continental Tobaccos Alliance, climbing to the position as Tobacco Production manager. During this period, he participated as a member of Coresta’s phytopathology research team. In 2009 he joined Philip Morris International, serving as manager of Agricultural Programs for Latin America and, in 2013, he joined Philip Morris Brasil, where he serves as manager of Corporate Affairs for the Southern Region
